When you run accounts in the US, each state has different rates for sales tax. This is why Tinder asks for the zipcode (to calculate the correct rate). Purchase prices are calculated based on the IP location. If the zipcode you provided doesn't match your IP geo-location, you will get the INVALID_PRICE_PASSED error.


Tinder, just most other apps uses external payment processors for purchases via VCCs. For each failed card transaction (because of any reason), Tinder gets charged a fee. After three declined purchases on a single Tinder account, Tinder will permamently block any card purchases on the account (due to financial losses).
